DHEA Testing
Blood Testing
HealthMax, Incorporated recommends either blood testing or saliva testing for DHEA.
Dr. Cherewatenko recommends DHEA-S blood testing (DHEA-Sulfate) which
is the storage form of DHEA rather than the active or free form. Your
personal physician may obtail this blood test for you by ordering
the DHEA-S from any qualified laboratory or you may contact our office
to arrange for testing.
Saliva Testing
HealthMax, Incorporated recommends saliva testing for DHEA when a blood test is unavailable or impracticle. Dr. Cherewatenko recommends The Adrenal Stress Profile test from Great Smokies Laboratories. The kit may be ordered from HealthMax Incorporated and will be sent to you. Four saliva samples are obtailed throughout the day and placed in four separate plastic containers. The four containers are then placed in the pre-paid Airborne mailer and sent to the laboratory. HealthMax will forward you the report and you will have the opportunity to schedule a telephone discussion with our staff to review them and obtain nutritional recommendations.
